Coalition governments in New York

You have probably all been following this week's events in the NY Senate. Among all the other craziness I am fascinated that for the first time I can recall, people are using the term "coalition government" in relation to a US legislature.

  1. It is really shocking and even confusing. And Tom Golisano is one of those wealthy individuals that wields a lot of power in the state. Still trying to figure out what is really happening up there.

    With the lock out, can a tennis court oath be far behind? I guess it will have to be a "park oath" since they are talking about meeting in the park.

    "We swear never to separate ourselves from the [Senate], and to reassemble wherever circumstances require, until the constitution of the realm is drawn up and fixed upon solid foundations." Or something like that...
