I am hugely impressed by the content you are posting on this blog, AND I am also learning a lot about the blogging process.
Today I was frustrated to find that our May posts got archived and don't show up anymore on the right. I can't figure out how to change that. Can anybody tell me how to do it? (or just do it yourself and surprise us!!)
But I did find how to put a Search box onto the blog. You will have noticed it on the top right. You can now search inside this blog. Great!!
If you have any tips and tricks on how to improve this blog and the blogging process, add it as a comment below.

A tip:
ReplyDeleteI notice that a number of people aren't using the link feature of the blog. The beauty of a blog is that you can skip the more formal citing procedures (if that's OK with John) and lead readers directly to your source material by linking it to key phrases in your post. It's sexier and less cumbersome than typing out the web address.
To link, highlight the word/s you want to link to the source material with your cursor. Then click the little chain icon in the menu above where you enter text into a new post. Cut and paste the web address of your source material from your browser into the field (paste it right over the "http://" you will see in the field).
Et voila!
Thanks for that. And yes.. that is a good way to skip formal city and I don't mind.
ReplyDeleteBut the link button doesn't always seem to work -- My one at least is very moody.
And there seems to be no way to put links into comments. Has anyone had success in cutting and pasting links into comments?
Instead of re-typing links you can always Copy (Control/Command-C) the address and Paste (Control/Command V) into your search engine address bar.
